Caitlin Clark's future props

The Caitlin Clark experience added another accolade this week as the rookie guard became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double in the Fever’s win over the Liberty. Clark’s rookie season may be the most scrutinized since LeBron James descended upon the NBA in 2003. Each week, we’ll take a look at Clark’s current standing, her rookie stats compared to some other WNBA greats, and her player prop odds in her upcoming game. Let’s take a look.

Clark’s triple-double against the Liberty bumped up some of her numbers over the last five including her rebounds and assists per game. She has struggled from the field, still shooting under 40% overall. Clark has struggled with consistency from long range but she has looked more comfortable getting her shot off now that she’s been able to utilize her teammates more effectively.

Clark O/U numbers vs. the Liberty on July 6th

Clark went over the points, hitting for 19 points against the Liberty’s tough defense. She went way over in assists and rebounds with 12 rebounds and 13 assists in the victory. Those numbers mean we hit on two of three player props for Clark, missing out on the point total after predicting Clark would go under the number.

Next up for the Fever: Friday, July 12th vs. Phoenix

This will be Indiana’s second meeting against the Mercury in less than two weeks. Indiana pulled off the road upset 88-82 in Phoenix. Clark distributed the ball well, finishing with 12 assists. Clark nearly had her first triple-double in this game with 15 points and 9 rebounds as well. She shot just 4-for-14 from the field including 2-for-10 from long range.

Caitlin Clark Props to Consider for Mercury Game:

Points: O/U 16.5 - This is Clark’s second look at the Mercury in a short period. I like her to get over this number here as she makes adjustments to the Mercury defense.

Rebounds: O/U 6.5 - Clark’s rebounding has been on the rise in the last five games, averaging nearly eight rebounds per game. She will continue that hear and get past this number.

Assists: O/U 8.5 - Clark’s assist totals have shot way up over the last ten games and in the last five in particular. She is averaging nearly 11 assists per game over the last five games as she utilizes her teammates more effectively. She’ll get past this number against the Mercury after dishing out 12 assists in the first matchup.

Three-Point FGs: O/U 2.5 - Finally, I like the over in 3-point field goals for Clark as well. She is a more comfortable shooter at home and, as I noted above, has looked more and more comfortable taking long range 3-point field goals. She launched 10 three-point field goals in the first game against Phoenix, hitting just two. She’ll get the third at least in this game.
