College Football Perfect Ten Week 6: October 2

College Football Perfect Ten Week 6: October 2nd

October is here now and the leaves are falling as fast as some of the contenders for the College Football Playoffs. Here’s the latest Perfect 10 as the CFB Playoff scramble continues.

Perfect 10 Week Six

Sad to see you go: Ole Miss & Utah; Welcome (back) to the Playoff Hunt: Michigan & Mizzou; Let’s take a look at our newest version of the Perfect Ten

  1. Alabama 4-0 (+350) - As good as they were in the first half, they were nearly as bad in the second half but they still hung on for an impressive home win over the Dawgs. Jalen Milroe is officially in the Heisman discussion after that performance. Next up: @ Vanderbilt Last Week: 5th

  1. Texas 5-0 (+500) - Ho-hum, the Longhorns rolled to another easy win with the best backup quarterback in the country. Things pick up now though with a matchup against Oklahoma next week followed by a visit to Georgia. They need to rest up during this bye week. Last Week: 2nd

  1. Ohio State 4-0 (+320) - The Buckeyes took care of Michigan State yet again on the road to improve to 4-0. They face Iowa’s tough defense this week in Columbus. Hard to imagine the Hawkeyes can score enough to stay in this one. Last Week: 3rd

  1. Tennessee 4-0 (+1100) - The Vols move up in the rankings despite not playing. They are back in action this week in a true road test at Arkansas. They’ll need to be on their game. Last Week: 5th

  1. Oregon 4-0 (+1000) - Each week, Dillon Gabriel looks more and more comfortable in this offense. That is not a good thing for the Big Ten. They have a very winnable game against Michigan State at home on Friday night. Last Week: 5th

  1. Miami 5-0 (+1800) - The Hurricanes looked very shaky in their win over Virginia Tech at home this week. Although, that Virginia Tech team made them look like the team that was thought to have an outside shot at the College Playoffs. Next up for the Hurricanes, at Cal on Saturday night. Last Week: 7th

  1. Georgia 3-1 (+650) - No need to panic if you’re a Bulldogs fan. They played atrociously in the first half and were a stop away from winning the game late. I don’t expect to see their defense look that shaky the rest of the way. Pity Auburn squares off against them in Georgia on Saturday. Last Week: 1st

  1. Penn State 4-0 (+2000) - Penn State survived a very good test this week at home against Illinois. They now face a UCLA defense that has to be punchy at this point from facing one potent offense after the other. Last Week: 9th

  1. Missouri 4-0 (+6000) - Missouri jumps back in the top ten following losses by Ole Miss and Utah. They have their biggest test to date this week when they face Texas A&M on the road. This could be a short stay in the top ten. Last Week: Unranked

  1. Michigan 4-1 (+1200) - Don’t look now but the Wolverines are 4-1 and are some offensive adjustments away from being a very dangerous team. Things don’t get easy for the defending champs as they travel to Washington this weekend. Last Week: Unranked

Week Four Game of the Week:

#9 Missouri at #25 Texas A&M (-2) : Missouri has methodically taken down everyone put in front of them thus far but this is a tall order in front of what will be a wild crowd at College Station. The Aggies are coming off a solid win over Arkansas in Dallas and have the firepower to take down this Missouri defense.
