Evil Geniuses vs. Gen.G Preview & Prediction - Free CS:GO Betting Picks 7/1

Evil Geniuses and Gen.G will face each other in the upper bracket round 1 match of the cs_summit 6 North America. The BeyondTheSummit CS:GO tournament is a Regional Major Ranking event. Teams can earn valuable RMR points, the determining criteria for Valve to hand out invites for the upcoming ESL One Rio Major in November.

Evil Geniuses Preview

Evil Geniuses’ CS:GO roster has a lineup of young North American players. Each player is extremely talented and this team has put up strong results against the best North American teams in the past. Players like CeRq and Brehze are popular for their high accuracy with the AWP and the rifle, respectively. However, the team’s coordination often suffers, resulting in these players putting themselves in unfavorable positions.

Brehze has a 1.12 rating and is one o the most talented North American players with the rifle. His first-shot accuracy gives little time to his opponents to react. Popular for his high number of entry-frags, Brehze often comes out ahead in most of EG’s matches.

Meanwhile, CeRq has a 1.12 rating and with 74.3 damage per round. The player has a passive AWP style, holding down certain areas of the map. He does his job effectively, allowing his teammates to gain access to more areas of the map. If he has to face the incoming terrorists, there is a high chance of the player taking down multiple opponents before going down.

Gen.G Preview

Compared to EG, Gen.G’s lineup relies more on its in-game leader. The team has benefited immensely from daps’ leadership. Daps has an excellent understanding of the enemy and more so in this case. As a former NRG player, Daps’ understanding of the individual playstyles on the EG roster gives Gen.G a slight advantage in playstyle.

However, Gen.G lacks the firepower to take on the EG players in a straight battle. With good tactical calls and a favorable map veto, Gen.G can secure a small advantage. However, the match’s outcome will ultimately come down to the players’ form and performance in the server.

Pick: Evil Geniuses Spread -1.5 Maps (+125 @ Bovada)

Evil Geniuses has slipped several places in the HLTV rankings. However, their lack of form is mostly against better-ranked CS:GO teams. The team’s performance in recent times might show a weakened roster. Still, EG has a massive firepower and ranking advantage over Gen.G. I am taking Evil Geniuses to sweep Gen.G in this upper bracket round 1 match of the cs_summit North America.
