The Upper bracket quarter-final of the BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Europe Finals continues with a tilt between FaZe (Europe) vs. ENCE (Finland). Both teams are fighting for the first place and whopping $335,000 of prize money, while the finalists will also book tickets to BLAST Premier Global Finals 2020. It is a Best of 3 matchup.
FaZe Team Stats and Latest Results
FaZe (#7 World Rank) are entering this clash in hot and cold form after winning just two out of the last five matches. They were on a four-game winning streak before losing to #1 NatusVincere at Gamers Without Borders 2020, while their latest defeat came to #24 BIG (0-2) at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 Europe. When it comes to the maps, FaZe are the most successful at Dust2 (62.4 winning percentage, 101 times played), while they are also good at Mirage (60.6%, 213 times played) and Overpass (60.2%, 128 times played.
On the other hand, they clearly don’t prefer playing on Vertigo (28.6%, seven times played). FaZe’s current lineup consists of: NiKo (1.16 Rating), rain (1.04), coldzera (1.18), broky (1.08), and Bymas (1.03). This lineup played together on 22 maps since May 2020 and has a record of 19 wins and nine losses. FaZe won ten trophies so far, three of which came last year (BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen, BLAST Pro Series Miami, and ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational).
ENCE Team Stats and Latest Results
ENCE (#18) booked their place at BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Europe Finals after going through the Showdown without a defeat. They won four and drew two matches to enter this tournament, including the latest duel against #17 MAD Lions. Even though ENCE won 2-0, it wasn’t easy as they needed overtime at Mirage. Train (67.8 winning percentage, played 118 times) is ENCE’s favorite map so far, as well as Dust2 (61.6%, 125 times played), while they are not playing particularly well at Inferno (42%, 88 times played). ENCE’s current lineup consists of: allu (1.10 Rating), Aerial (1.12), suNny (1.07), sergej (1.16), and Jamppi (1.18). This lineup played together on 19 maps since April 2020 and has a record of 13 wins and four losses with two draws. ENCE won two trophies in team’s history, and the previous one came at BLAST Pro Series Madrid 2019.
FaZe vs. ENCE H2H Record
These rivals have met once before, and it was at IEM Katowice 2020 Europe Closed Qualifier where FaZe secured a 2-1 win, defeating ENCE on Nuke and Mirage, while the Finnish side was better on Dust2.
FaZe vs. ENCE Betting Preview
I closely watched FaZe in their previous match against the German side BIG, and I wasn’t impressed with what I saw. They were destroyed on Nuke (4-16), and even though they tried to make a comeback on Mirage, mostly thanks to excellent NiKo and rain, FaZe fell short. I am not convinced this lineup has a strong bond and chemistry, but that could also be a problem with ENCE, who are playing in this lineup from April. Given that the only H2H duel produced a maximum of three maps, I am going with Over 2.5 Maps in this one as well. It could go either way, so I would suggest you to avoid betting on the winner.
