Well, I come with good news and bad news. The good news is that we have another round of LCK action ahead of us. The bad news is that these will be the last two games until Wednesday. Anyways, we do have one more action-packed two game slate before the break, and this one should be two great contests. The opening match of the slate will see kt Rolster take on Gen.G. This will be followed by SeolHaeOne Prince (formerly known as APK Prince) battling with Damwon Gaming. Due to the fact that LCK starting lineups are not released until roughly an hour before match start, I won't be listing the starting lineups for these contests.
Gen.G (-325) vs. kt Rolster (+225)
The first bout of the night is sure to be a fun one between a pair of 0-1 teams in Gen.G and kt Rolster. Gen.G led the standings at the end of the Spring Split by having the best overall record amongst games within a series. Their debut match was against a very tough DragonX team that is also a playoff contender, and that's not a loss that many will hold above their heads. Gen.G gave a pretty valiant effort in that 2-1 series loss, even in the games that they lost which is very encouraging. Meanwhile, kt Rolster ran into a team with something to prove in Team Dynamics which was playing in their first ever LCK series, and they fell flat on their faces in an 0-2 loss. I believe that kt Rolster overlooked Team Dynamics and tried to play them off which attributed to the loss, and I feel that they will find their groove and appear in the playoffs once again this split. Gen.G has won the last three meetings between these teams, and I believe they will win this one as well. Rascal, Clid, Bdd and Ruler will always be the starters for Gen.G, and they make a strong core for the team regardless of whether Ruler or Life starts at Support.
Pick: Gen.G Spread -1.5 Games (+105)
Damwon Gaming (-300) vs. SeolHaeOne Prince (+210)
The second series of the slate should be just as exciting as the first one. We will see a pair of 1-0 teams do battle as Damwon Gaming and SeolHaeOne Prince as set to square off. Neither of these teams had too tough of a test in their first series of the split as Damwon Gaming beat Sandbox Gaming 2-0 and SeolHaeOne Prince beat Hanwha Life Esports 2-1. Damwon Gaming gave Bot Laner Ghost and Support BeryL the full-time starting roles, and the team looked sharp. Meanwhile, SeolHaeOne Prince gave the starting Bot Lane role solely to HyBriD and the Support role solely to Secret which was the right move I believe. They also made a huge upgrade in the Mid Laner position with the addition of Mickey from LEC squad Excel Esports. Damwon Gaming is 8-0 in serieses all-time against SeolHaeOne Prince, and they have only lost one game within a series and that was back in the minor league CK in 2017. I do like Damwon Gaming to win, but I'm a little scared of their spread as I feel SeolHaeOne Prince made some upgrades and could potentially take game two in an all-out effort to push a game three. I'm taking Damwon Gaming to win map one by more than five and a half kills to cut back the juice as I believe Damwon Gaming will have their strongest showing in the first game and the second one should be more of a toss-up.
