Although we will be short on League of Legends action elsewhere (LCS, LEC, LCK), the good news is that the LPL doesn't take breaks. There haven't been many surprises so far during the Summer Split beside the fact that Victory Five sits second in the split standings or that JD Gaming and Edward Gaming are only 2-2 so far. Today's slate should be another fun two series slate as is customary for the LPL. The opening series of the day will see Vici Gaming and Victory Five do battle. This series will be a fun one between Estar and Royal Never Give Up. Without further adieu, let's hop right into it.
Vici Gaming (-155) vs. Victory Five (+110)

The two teams in the opening series of the slate have had somewhat opposite paths thus far this split. Vici Gaming is 1-2 with a 2-0 win over Bilibili Gaming, but they have fallen victim to 0-2 sweeps to Royal Never Give Up and Team WE in their last two contests. Meanwhile, Victory Five continues to shock as they are second in the LPL Summer Split standings with a 3-1 record. This has been very much of a surprise as they didn't win a single game, much less a series in the Spring Split. However, a roster overhaul has Victory Five looking sharp thus far. Although Victory Five's only loss came 2-1 to LGD and they have wins over DMO, OMG and BLG, oddsmakers are still not sold on them. Breaking these teams down lane per lane, this series will be about as even as it gets. I believe each game in this series will be decided simply by the pre-game draft, and I give Victory Five the nod in this category. They have pieced together some nice champion drafts, even in the games they've lost this split. Meanwhile, the draft phase has been an issue of Vici Gaming's, and I expect this to be the case again. I'm going a little against the grain here with a two pick special on this opening contest. I am on Victory Five to win, and I expect this one to take a third game to decide.

Estar: Xiaobai, Wei, Fenfen, Wink, ShiauC
The second series of the slate should feature just as great of viewing as the first one on the slate. Royal Never Give Up (3-1) is set to take on Estar (2-2), and these are two of the stronger teams in the LPL. RNG has been a busy team so far with wins over OMG, Vici Gaming and JDG. Their only loss thus far came very much as a surprise as they fell victim to an 0-2 sweep at the hands of LNG. Meanwhile, Estar has taken on some strong teams in their own right. Their two wins came against DMO and LNG, and their two losses came to LGD and BLG. Granted, Estar has a good starting lineup, but when you break this one down lane by lane it is tough to give them an advantage anywhere. Not to count out Estar totally, but they have an uphill battle in front of them. However, I do believe that Estar is good enough to take one of two games in this series, and I am playing the over because of this.
