Gridiron Great Top 11 (Week 4)

The undefeated teams are dwindling and blowouts are increasing. Here’s a dive into our Gridiron Great 11 heading into week 4.

Gridiron Great Top 11 (Week 4)

#11. LA Chargers 2-2 (+1500/+3000) - To me, this is the most dangerous 2-2 team on the board. Assuming Herbert’s index finger doesn’t affect him gripping the ball, this team has the offense and the defense showed some signs of improvement on Sunday Last Week’s Rank: Unranked

#10. Tampa Bay Bucs 3-1 (+4000/+7000) - Is this team a Super Bowl contender? I don’t think so. But they have been playing winning football and Baker Mayfield looks a tick above serviceable thus far. Last Week’s Rank: Unranked

#9. Seattle Seahawks 3-1 (+2000/+3500) - The Seahawks did what they had to against an inferior Giants team on Monday night. If rookie CB Witherspoon continues to play like he has, they may have a major playmaker on the defensive side of the ball. Last Week’s Rank: 11th

#8. Baltimore Ravens 3-1 (+750/+1600) - Lamar Jackson is doing Lamar Jackson things again. That should worry the rest of the NFL. Next up for the Ravens is a visit to the banged-up Steelers. Last Week’s Rank: 8th

#7. Detroit Lions 3-1 (+850/+1800) - The Lions’ defense was stout again this week in the win at Green Bay. Have to feel good about their 2-0 start on the road in games at KC and at GB. Last Week’s Rank: 7th

#6. Miami Dolphins 3-1 (+475/+900) - The Dolphins were humbled by the Bills on Sunday. I still question this defense against good offenses. They have faced two good offenses this year: the Chargers and Bills. The Dolphins defense was torched by both. Last Week’s Rank: 3rd

#5. Dallas Cowboys 2-1 (+450/+1000) - An angry Cowboys’ defense showed out against an overmatched Patriots team. They will get their biggest test of the season this week in San Francisco. Last Week’s Rank: 5th

#4. Kansas City Chiefs 3-1 (+300/+550) - The Jets gave the Chiefs their best shot but still came away with a loss. Mahomes looked human and the Chiefs still prevailed. Next up is a trip to Minnesota and that porous defense. Get that scoreboard ready. Last Week’s Rank: 5th

#3. Buffalo Bills 3-1 (+380/+800) - The Bills have now reeled off three straight wins after the opening night clunker at the Jets. The defense pressured Miami’s passing attack all day on Sunday. The one major issue is the loss of Tre’Davious White to a season-ending Achilles injury. Last Week’s Rank: 5th

#2. Philadelphia Eagles 4-0 (+300/+750) -The Eagles survived a scare this week against division-rival Washington. The offense still isn’t as fluid as it was last year but they’re 4-0. Last Week’s Rank: 2nd

#1. SF 49ers 4-0 (+200/+550) - 49ers’ QB Purdy is now 9-0 as a starter in the NFL regular season and the Niners have won 14 straight regular season games. Next up, the Cowboys on Monday night. Last Week’s Rank: 1st

Upset Alert for Week 3: We went 1-1 last week in our upset alerts, narrowly missing out on 2-0. The Texans (+3) came through and crushed the Steelers at home but the Vikings were able to hold up with Carolina (+4.5) knocking on the door late.

#1. Chicago at Washington (-6.5): The Bears remain winless, thanks to some questionable coaching down the stretch, but certainly played much better on Sunday. The Commanders gave the Eagles all they could handle on Sunday but are they worthy of giving 6.5 points to anyone at this point?

#2. Jacksonville at Buffalo (-5.5): The Jags are the first team in NFL history to now play back-to-back games in London. That also means that they will be the first team in NFL history to adjust to the time zone by the time the second game rolls around. The Bills are coming off an emotional win over Miami with the reality that they’ve lost starting CB White for the season. This one has nail-biter written all over it.
