Hard Legion Preview

HLTV world ranking: 29th

Record: N/A

The Russian-based squad Hard Legion has been playing at one of their best forms in recent times. The team has two favorite maps which is evident by their recent success. Over the past three months, Hard Legion holds a 9-3 record on the map Train with a 75.9% win rate after getting the first kill. They are no slouch on the map Dust2 either. The team holds a 10-4 record at this map over the past three months with a 76.5% win rate after registering the first kill.

The statistical team leaders of Hard Legion have been Krad and Forester over the past three months. Krad holds the slightly better average during this period as he has contributed 0.74 kills per round while only dying 0.68 times a round. Forester is right behind him with his average of 0.74 kills and only 0.67 deaths per round over the past three months as well. Their third attacking option is usually rAge. He has a good kill to death ratio, he just doesn't quite contribute in the kill column like a few of his counterparts.

FATE Preview

HLTV world ranking: 48th

Record: N/A

The Bulgarian team of FATE has been up and down recently. Train, despite being arguably the most difficult map on the game, has been a team favorite over the past three months. They hold an 11-4 record on the map Train during this time period. FATE isn't a slouch when it comes to the map Overpass either. They are sitting on an 8-4 record on the map Overpass during the past three months, and the map selection process will be key in this contest.

FATE features a somewhat top-heavy roster which could come back to bite them. The statistical team leader of the psat three months has been mar. This player has averaged 0.72 kills with 0.67 deaths per round over this period, and he needs to step up in a big way here. FATE's best secondary option lately has been harn. He has averages 0.68 kills per round which leaves room for improvement, but he has only died 0.6 times per round at the same time. This means he's decent at avoiding trouble which makes for a special player.

Pick: Hard Legion Spread -3.5 Rounds (-125 @ Bovada)

I am playing the favorite-side with the spread in this battle. As I mentioned briefly earlier, the map selection process will bend the odds of actually winning some in either way depending on the selection, but as a whole Hard Legion has been performing very well lately while FATE has been inconsistent to say the least. I am not advising a multiple-unit play, but a single unit on this spread is worth it. I have Hard Legion winning this game and I don't expect it to be overly competitive.
