MiBR vs. Cloud9 Preview & Prediction - Free 6/12 CS:GO Betting Picks
The lower bracket of the DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: North America are set to begin, and the second contest of the day should be a good one between MiBR and Cloud9. The winner of this contest will move on to take on the winner of Team Liquid and Gen.G while the loser will be eliminated. These two met earlier in the week during the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, and MiBR took that battle with a score of 2-1.
MiBR Preview
HLTV World Ranking: 14th
The Brazilian squad of MiBR hasn't been quite as good as they were when they were the top ranked team in the world, but they are certainly no pushovers. They have a 60% win rate over the last three months and they have won three of their last five contests while pushing the other two on this streak. Their map pool is interesting to say the least. MiBR has win rates of 73.3% on Dust2, 66.7% on Mirage and 61.1% on Inferno over the last three months, but none higher than 42.9% behind those three including no wins on Nuke during this time.
The play of FalleN, kNgV- and fer have been the driving force behind any success that MiBR sees. This trio has been solid over the last three months with an average of 2.22 kills per roudn while only dying 1.94 times a round. MiBR's trk hasn't been too bad either with an average of 0.69 kills and 0.65 deaths per round as well over this same period. MiBR beat Cloud9 just about a week ago, and they can win this meeting as well. They just have to be careful not to get too far ahead of themselves, and they should be on their way to victory.
Cloud9 Preview
HLTV World Ranking: 19th
Cloud9 has been solid over the last three months depsite turning in a poor performance during the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. In fact, the team comes in carrying a nice 62.1% win rate over the last three months. Something that has been very helpful for Cloud9 in terms of seeing success is their wide map pool. Their best map by far is Overpass with an 87.5% win rate there over the last three months. Nuke and Mirage are the only two maps they have win rates lower than 50% on, and this familiarity with most maps has led them to some success.
Many of Cloud9's victories have come on the shoulders of their statistical leaders oSee and floppy. This duo has been pretty good over the last three months with an average of 1.45 kills per round while being killed only 1.29 times a round. The play of JT has been somewhat of a hinderance for them. He only has an average of 0.54 kills a round while dying 0.69 times per round. The key to victory for Cloud9 is a solid team performance. They need oSee and floppy to continue their solid play, and JT as motm and Sonic have to step up and play to their top form as well.
Pick: Cloud9 ML (+120 @ Bovada)
I am loving Cloud9 to grab their revenge against MiBR in this battle. Both of these teams are very good squads, and neither have been super consistent. Cloud9 came up just short against MiBR when they met during another event earlier this week, and I believe they will overcome the hump in this rematch. Cloud9 has the better map pool, and I don't see them losing a second contest to MiBR this week.
