Top Prop Bets for the Quaker State 400, Part II

As NASCAR rolls into the Bluegrass State for the Quaker State 400, it’s time to take into consideration what the top prop bets for this week’s race may be. We’ve given you background on the track and how the current drivers have fared in their runs here over the years. Today, we take a look at some of the top prop bets are for you to talk walk away from the window with a stack full of cash. We’ve given you part one of our top picks as well. As always, all the odds for the prop bets are brought to you by DraftKings. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the best options out there.

Aric Almirola to Finish in Top 10 (+100): Almirola was a big winner for us last week as we took a flier on him to finish in the top 3 at +850 odds. While it took Denny Hamlin’s crash late in the race to move him from fourth to third, you don’t apologize for how things unfold, you just take the win. He’s been blistering the track of late, recording his fifth straight top-five finish last week at the Brickyard. Almirola has just one top-10 finish in his seven races at Kentucky Speedway but, going at even or plus money, you can’t overlook the torrid run that he’s on right now. Look for him to log a top-10 finish.

Toyota to Manufacture Winning Car (+160): Toyota has been the manufacturer of the winning vehicle five times in the nine years that the race has taken place at Kentucky Speedway. While Chevrolet got the checkered flag last season with Kurt Busch, we’re backing Kyle Busch to take the win here, which supports Toyota. Seeing that Toyota has more wins than everyone else combined (four) and that Kyle Busch has taken three of those wins, you have to give serious consideration to them continuing their success at the track.

Joe Gibbs Racing to Be Team of Winning Driver (+155): Gibbs has four teams in the field and they’ve run extremely well at this track. Kyle Busch has dominated at the track with two wins and seven top-fives in his nine runs here. Denny Hamlin has four top-fives in nine runs here while Erik Jones has finished in the top seven in all three of his races here. The fourth driver for Joe Gibbs Racing is Martin Truex Jr., who won here in 2017 and 2018 as part of his five top-10 finishes at Kentucky Speedway. When the checkered flag is waved and the winner heads to victory lane, you can lean toward JGR being the team of the victor.

Ryan Blaney to Record Top Finish in Group B (+275): Blaney slipped back a little bit in the two races at Pocono and the run at the Brickyard last week. He didn’t finish better than 12th in those three runs, logging 22nd and 32nd place finishes in the other two races. With that said, he had finished in the top four in six of the seven previous races, including taking the win at Talladega. Hamlin (+200) has been decent here but he could go either way, while Chase Elliott (+245) has finished in the top 10 just once in his four races at Kentucky Speedway. While Joey Logano (+250) has finished in the top 10 six times in nine races, he has been in the top-five just twice in that span. Blaney has finished in the top 10 twice in four runs here, including a second-pace finish in 2018. Take a shot on him here as he bounces back from a rough last couple of weeks.

Matt Kenseth to Record Top Finish in Group D (+225): This one is based on previous runs and experience. Kenseth is one of the five guys that have actually won on the track in his career, having taken the checkered flag in 2013. He has three top-five showings and six top-10 runs in eight races at Kentucky Speedway in his career. William Byron (+225) is a co-favorite in the group with Kenseth but he’s struggled in his two runs here, logging 20th and 18th-place finishes. Clint Bowyer (+250) has just one top-five finish and two top-10 showings in his nine races here. His seven runs that missed the top ten saw him finish no better than 12th with three finishes of 23rd or worse. Meanwhile, this marks Christopher Bell’s (+265) first race here as a full-time NASCAR Cup series driver. He did win the Xfinity Series race here in 2018 and finished second in 2019. This is a whole different level of competition though and it may get the best of him.

That covers the rest of our top prop options for this weekend’s race. We wish you good luck in your efforts and hope you walk away from the window with a fistful of dollars.
