UFC 267: Blachowicz vs Teixeira - Card Preview - 10/30/21

It’s going to be a great Halloween weekend for fight fans as the UFC heads to Abu Dhabi for UFC 267. I almost wrote Pay-Per-View there out of habit but that is in fact not the case! This numbered UFC event will be free on ESPN+ so dig into the kiddies’ candy early and throw it on. The one thing to note for viewers in North America, this will be kicking off Saturday morning and going through the afternoon (UFC’s website has the prelims slated for 10:30am EST and the main card for 2:00 pm EST as of this writing), instead of the usual evening event.

The main card is absolutely stacked with two title fights and a pile of other bangers. Jan Blachowicz headlines as he defends his crown against the timeless Glover Teixeira. In the co-main slot Cory Sandhagen takes on Petr Yan for the interim bantamweight belt. As many of you already know, Yan lost the belt due to disqualification in his fight against Aljamain Sterling in March when he landed an illegal knee. This fight slot was reserved for their rematch, but Sterling had to pull out due to neck issues.

The remaining 4 fights on the main card could easily serve as fight night main events in their own right as there’s no shortage of star power. The Preliminary Card understandably lacks that same name value but there’s still a pile of good fights on there to whet fight fans’ appetites leading into the Main Card. Check out the stacked lineup below.

Ever since renting my first UFC VHS at my local video store, I’ve been in love with the sport of MMA. I’ve watched every single fight that has ever taken place under the UFC banner over the past 25 years. Once I started doing incredibly well in fantasy leagues, I realized I could utilize my skills in fight analytics to make a profit on betting. My obsession with researching every aspect of a fight gave me a real edge in finding value. Since then, it's been one profitable year after the next. Watching your favorite sport is good, but getting paid while watching your favorite sport is better.
