UFC Vegas 10: Predictions, Odds and Best Value Plays
The past weeks have brought major change to UFC events as fighters face the same tentative health issues affecting everyone. With COVID adjustments in play, last weekend‘s Fight Night resumed minus prelims action.
This week, with all major sports operating, the first promotion to brave pandemic obstacles presents UFC Vegas 10 headlined by Strawweights Michelle Waterson and Angela Hill. The night’s original main event between Glover Teixiera and Thiago Santos was nixed when Tiexiera tested COVID positive. Moving ahead, this latest Octagon offering lacks name value but could become an underrated ESPN+ showing as 13 matchups grace the Vegas Odds board.
The following list considers each upcoming bout and is a guide for best value plays.
Fight One: Michelle Waterson (+100) Submits Angela Hill (-120).
There’s solid value with this pick as the more experienced Waterson has fought tougher competition than her latest assignment -and owns nine paid subs. Meanwhile, Hill has been submitted twice. The slight dog could net good return.
Fight Two: Ottaman Azaitar (+115) TKO vs. Khama Worthy (-135).
Given both men’s penchant for the TKO, I’ll take the slightly better value with unbeaten Azaitar to hand Worthy a seventh stoppage defeat this weekend. As odds suggest, this is a toss up bout, and the onus lie on Worthy to continue an unexpected later-career hot streak vs. promising talent.
Fight Three: Andrea Lee (-310) wins via decision vs. Roxanne Modaferri (+255)
Fight Four: Tagir Ulanbekov (-320) Submits Bruno Silva (+260)
Fight Five: Ed Herman (+210)wins via Decision vs. Mike Rodriguez (-250)
Look for moderate underdog Herman to out grapple the decidedly less experienced, and less skilled Rodriguez to net excellent betting return.
Fight Six: Billy Quarantillo (-250) TKO vs. Kyle Nelson (+210)
Fight Seven: Tyson Nam (-120) TKO vs. Matt Schnell (+100)
Fight Eight: Sijari Eubanks (+260) Decision win vs. Julia Avila (-320).
Given this fight is much closer than the odds indicate, I’ll take heavy dog Eubanks with the grinding win.
Fight Nine: Roosevelt Roberts (-105) wins via Decision vs. Matt Frevola (-115)
Fight Ten: Bobby Green (-250) wins via Decision vs. Alan Patrick (+210)
Fight Eleven: Frank Camacho (-225) wins via Decision vs. Brok Weaver (+185)
Fight Twelve: Ryan Barbarena (-275) wins via Decision vs. Anthony Ivy (+235)
Fight Thirteen: Sabina Mazo (-240) wins via Decision vs. Justine Kish (+200)
