RBC Heritage Preview
The 2024 RBC Heritage’s first-place prize will be $3.6 million. That’s a significant increase from the $1.44 million won by defending champion Matt Fitzpatrick in 2023. The par 71, 7,213-yard Harbour Town Golf Links course has been slightly lengthened for 2024. In addition, this year’s winner will earn 700 FedExCup points.
Despite taking place one week after the Masters, the Signature Event will have a highly competitive field. The game’s top players, including eight of the top ten in the World Golf Rankings, will tee off on Thursday.
Scheffler is at +400 odds to win this weekend in Hilton Head. Another contender, 2017 Tour Championship winner and world’s #2-ranked Xander Schauffele second at +1000 after finishing eighth last week at Augusta. McIlroy has one top-ten finish in 2024 and tied for 22nd at the Masters. He enters this week with +1100 odds to win at RBC Heritage.
Fitzpatrick, the 2022 US Open champion, defends his title with +2200 odds. Next, four-time major winner Jordan Spieth is at +2500 to win his 17th PGA Tour title this weekend.
Other notable players in contention are Ludwig Aberg (+1200), currently ranked #4 in the World Golf Rankings. In addition, 2nd-ranked Wyndham Clark (+2800), Patrick Cantlay (+1400), and Tommy Fleetwood (+1800) are also top considerations. Lastly, Colin Morikawa (+1800), Mac Homa (+2200), Will Zalatoris (+2500), and Si Woo Kim (+2500) round out the top ten to win the 2024 RBC Heritage.
