Rays vs. Tigers Preview
The Rays rank 17th in the Majors with 4.32 runs per game but have averaged 5.3 runs over their previous ten contests and are 8-4 in their last 12 games. They look to improve their .500 record at home, where they’ve won four of the previous seven. Tampa is also 5-6 at home against American League opponents this season.

Detroit is 26th in the Majors in scoring, averaging 3.53 runs per game. However, they’re one of the top teams on the road this season. They have a 6-2 record that includes a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field. Following that, they won two of three from New York at Yankee Stadium.
Zack Littell (1-0, 2.14 ERA) takes the hill for the Tigers on Sunday. He’s given up five earned runs in four starts, with one home run and five walks. In his last start against the LA Angels, Littell allowed eight hits and three earned runs. He also struck out seven in 5.2 innings but took a no-decision in the 5-4 loss.
