Bucks vs. Pacers Preview

The Pacers won four of five meetings with the Bucks in the regular season. However, the home team was victorious in all Game 1s in the 2024 NBA Playoffs, including Milwaukee’s 109-94 victory on Sunday. Giannis Antetokounmpo was absent from the game with a knee injury, but Damian Lillard picked up the slack with 35 points, all in the first half.

Milwaukee is a 1.5-point favorite to win tonight’s game. However, Antetokounmpo’s participation will be decided before the opening tipoff.

The Pacers have performed well on the road in the regular season. They’re sitting on a 21-14-2 record against the spread when picked as underdogs by 1.5 points or more. However, Indiana’s biggest test in this series is rebounding. They finished 28th in the league in that category during the regular season.

Indiana will also need more production from guard Tyrese Haliburton. The Bucks’ Patrick Beverly stifled him in Game 1, holding him to nine points and one three-pointer.

The Pacers’ 94 points in Game 1 was well below their regular season average of 121.9 points, which ranks second in the NBA. Pascal Siakam led Indiana with 36 points in Game 1 but could have a much tougher time scoring inside. If Antetokounmpo returns to the lineup, he could be shut out.
