Top NBA Matchups for March 7

The Timberwolves (43-19) will play against the Indiana Pacers (34-28) in the evening’s first matchup. Indiana has lost two in a row and is third in the Central Division behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks. Minnesota recovered from two straight home losses to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 119-114 on Monday night.

The Miami Heat (34-26) will take on the Dallas Mavericks (34-27) at American Airlines Center. The Heat and the Orlando Magic are battling for the top of the Southeast Division, with Miami currently holding the #7 seed in the playoff race. 

Dallas struggled to hold onto the lead in the Southwest Division standings. They took four losses in the previous five games after a season-long seven-game winning streak.

The Celtics (48-12) will put their streak on the line as they visit the Nuggets (42-19) on Thursday night. Denver have now moved within striking distance of Northwest Division leader Minnesota. They hope to extend their consecutive wins to seven games after three straight losses. The Nuggets won the first matchup in Boston 102-100 back on January 19.
