Oilers at Stars, Game 1 Recap/Game 2 Preview

The Oilers and Stars were scoreless through one period on Thursday night but things picked up in the second period. The Oilers scored twice on goals by Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman and Tyler Seguin scored for the Stars to make it 2-1 going into the final period. Seguin tallied his second goal of the game to tie it and force overtime in the third period. Connor McDavid’s goal 30 seconds into the second overtime gave the Oilers the win and a 1-0 lead in the series.

Dallas will look to rebound in game two and avoid returning to Edmonton down 2-0. The Stars have been here before, however, trailing 0-2 to Vegas in round one before rallying to win the series in seven games. With the win in game one, the Oilers are now 5-2 on the road in the playoffs.
