Avalanche vs Bruins Game Preview

The Colorado Avalanche are in the midst of a strong road trip as they head into Boston. The Avs have gone 2-1 thus far on the road trip including a 7-4 win over the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night. Mikko Rantanen scored a pair of goals in the game and the Avs pushed across four straight goals in the third period to pull away for a 7-4 win over the Senators. Miles Wood tied it at four in the third and Sam Malinski gave them the lead on the power-play as the Avs poured it on to close out the win. Goalie Justus Annunen, in his first appearance this season, turned away 36-of-40 shots in the game.

“On a back-to-back, going against a fresh team, that’s sort of what you need to do, have everyone pulling on the reins, have everyone contributing in different ways,” Logan O’Connor, who added a goal in the third period as well, said.

“I thought Justus (Annunen) was also huge for us when we needed him. He made a lot of key stops and gave us the opportunity to come back there in the third.”
