UFC Vegas 6 Final Predictions and Card Rundown

The final fights added to Saturday’s UFC Vegas 6 Prelims Card include three newcomers and three Octagon vets looking for increased exposure.

After his last two bouts were cancelled, Kevin Holland (-440) welcomes Zuffa debutant Joaquin Buckley (+350) with rude intent this weekend. The heavy-favorite Holland just made short recent work of hot prospect Daniel Rodriguez and is bidding for a fifth Zuffa win in six tries Saturday. Holland enjoys a five-inch height and eight-inch reach edge over Buckley. At 26, former Bellator vet Joaquin Buckley boasts consecutive wins but sits well below Holland in all areas.

Look for #20 ranked middleweight contender Kevin Holland to dominate #131 ranked Buckley.

The Pick: Kevin Holland by TKO

Another gross on-paper mismatch pits UFC unbeaten Featherweight Youssef Zalal (-460) against newcomer Peter Barrett (+365). Both fighters are hungry strikers, however, Zalal holds recent wins over Octagon fare Austin Lingo and Jordan Griffin. That experience will help Zalal brush past Barrett this weekend.

The Pick: Youssef Zalal

The first UFC Vegas 6 bout sees Irwin Rivera (-170) make his second Octagon trip vs. fresh talent Ali Al Quasi (+150). This matchup is tough to call as both men are evenly matched. Rivera won three straight LFA bouts heading into his unsuccessful May UFC debut vs. Giga Chikadze. Meanwhile, Al Quasi boasts five consecutive wins on the Middle East circuit.

I’ll take the slight dog AlQuasi here by decision.
