The Chiefs offensive line is in shambles right now, Josh Simmons, Trey Smith and tackle Jawaan Taylor are all out, making it even tougher for a team that has had struggles running the ball all season. Kansas City has been putting up some points as of late, but it's been against suspect defenses, and now they have to face the #1 defense in the NFL in the Texans, who only allow 16.5ppg, and 266 yards per game. Houston's offense has also struggled, only putting up 22ppg, and this Chiefs defense is very good, only giving up 19ppg, and 307 yards per game. This will likely be a defensive minded contest, and this total is set low for a reason, and keep in mind these two teams combined O/U records is 7-16-1 to the under.

We’ve got the AAC Championship from Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, and weather will definitely play a role. Rain is expected throughout, but with no wind, North Texas’ pass-heavy attack should still operate just fine. QB Drew Mestemaker posted a 178.2 rating, and even in wet conditions, we expect the Mean Green to move the ball through the air.

North Texas also brings balance, they’ve been one of the most productive offenses in the nation, ranking #8 with 512 yards per game. Rain or not, this team can attack multiple ways.

Tulane is tough, especially at home where they finished 6-0, but North Texas has been a betting machine all year at 10-2 ATS. There’s a reason they’re favored on the road in a conference title game.

I think the Ducks are going to step up here and deliver a winner for us against what I feel is a now road-fatigued and overachieving Washington Capitals side, which will enjoy a night off after this before a favorable home game against Columbus.

Washington is 17-9 overall, including 8-4-1 on the road. The Capitals have won six straight, including the first three on this road trip, most recently a 7-1 destruction of the Sharks.

But being primarily a situational capper, these are the types of games and situations that I'm constantly keeping my eyes open for over the course of the regular season.

Washington has been playing great, but I feel a letdown is now imminent after the long stretch of winning.

Conversely, the Ducks are coming off a humbling 7-0 loss here to Utah. Anaheim has been trading wins and losses over its last eight games, and I think that pattern continues here.

Anaheim is still 16-10 and still in first place in the Pacific. Additionally, Anaheim is 9-4 at home this season.

Anaheim averages 3.6 goals per game, which ranks second, while allowing 3.2, which ranks 21st. Washington averages 3.4 goals per game, ranked sixth, while allowing 2.5, which ranks second.

Charlie Lindgren is expected in the net for Washington in this one, and he's 5-3-1 with a 2.90 goals against, while Ville Husso is scheduled between the pipes for the Ducks, and he's 2-2 with a 3.45 goals against.

For argument's sake, I'm going to classify these netminders as a "wash."

I think Anaheim will come in more focused and more determined, and I believe that'll be more than enough to see the DUCKS return to the winner's circle on Friday night; consider Anaheim.

We get 8-4 Troy vs 11-1 James Madison. Both these teams are 8-4 ATS as well which is really impressive on the Dukes side, as they are always favored and sometimes favored heavily, and they continue to cover the number. These teams have played once before in 2023, and JMU won 16-14, and obviously that was a much different Dukes team. The Trojans however are no pushover, and in a Championship Game like this, it's a lot of points.

Keep in mind however, James Madison coach Bob Chesney is headed to take the UCLA job after this season, so this could be his last time coaching this team, and we think they are up for Troy, and will want to make a big statement as they have an outside shot at getting into the final bracket with some help.

Also keep in mind the temperature will be very cold in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Troy is from Alabama, and they might even see some snow in this game, so this favors JMU as well, and we will roll with the Dukes to roll over the Trojans.

The Rebels sit on 10 wins while Boise is just 8-4, but it's important to weigh strength of schedule. The Rebels only win against a team with a winning record came at home against Hawaii. Yes the Broncos lost starting QB Maddux Madsen, but the backup has settled in after a handful of starts, and the lit up the Aggies on the road in a win at Utah State last week. These AFC West foes just played on November 6 with Denver earning a 10-7 win at home. From a numbers' perspective, we totally understand why this spread is where it is. Our power ratings are directly in line with the opening spread that we're seeing early in the week. We have been critical of Bo Nix and the Broncos' offense all season, so we totally understand why this number is where it is. With all of that being said, how can you back the Raiders right now? Las Vegas has lost six-straight games by an average of 13.8 points per game. During this losing streak, the Raiders have scored an average of 12.7 points per game. When these teams met in Denver, the Raiders generated 3.2 yards per play with ten first downs and Geno Smith was sacked six times. Las Vegas' offensive line has only gotten worse since then as starting center Jackson Powers-Johnson has been placed on IR with an ankle injury. An already-thin receiving corps will likely be missing Dont'e Thornton Jr. after he suffered a concussion last week against the Chargers. Justin Herbert suffered a hand injury last week and his Chargers still beat the Raiders by 17 (probably should have been worse). We've been quick to point out all of Bo Nix's flaws this season, but realistically, the Broncos may only need about 17 points to cover this spread against a Raiders team that is falling apart at the seams. Given the state of the Raiders’ fanbase right now, Broncos’ fans may turn Allegiant Stadium into a Denver home game on Sunday.
