The PLAY: Creighton +1.0 (-110)
This is the semi-final. The winner will take on the winner of the Baylor/Oklahoma game, in Sunday's final. I successfully played on Creighton in Thursday's win over Rutgers. I noted that Greg McDermott was retiring and that I felt he was going to have his team ready to go: "Creighton head coach Greg McDermott is retiring after this tournament. I don't believe he's going out with a first round loss to Rutgers. The Blue Jays will be without a few players but are still the more talented team. Remember, they beat UConn this season. When they're on their game, they're still really good. McDermott will have them "on their game" tonight and they'll punch their ticket to the second round."
The Blue Jays trailed 24-14 early but rallied for a decisive 82-69 victory. I like that this Creighton team has an ability to come back -- Thursday marked the fourth time that the Blue Jays have overcome a double-digit deficit this season in a victory, having also done it at Villanova and at home against both Georgetown and Seton Hall.
WVU faced one Big East opponent this year and that resulted in a 10-point loss to Xavier. Creighton faced the Musketeers twice and won both games, including a 98-57 massacre at Xavier.
Led by the duo of Josh Dix and Nik Graves, don't be surprised when the Blue Jays extend McDermott's coaching career for one more game. Creighton is the slight underdog but I'd like them even if a small favorite. Good at -1 or better

With much on the line, there should be a playoff-like atmosphere for this one. I'm expecting goals to prove hard to come by. The last meeting had a final score of 4-0, Sorokin recording the shutout for the Islanders. Speaking of shutouts, the last time that the Isles were off consecutive losses, they responded with a 1-0 victory. The previous time they were off b2b defeats, the Isles bounced back with a 2-1 win. Let's go with the under.
