| CBB | (703) Wofford at (704) East Tenn State: Spread | 7:00pm EST - Feb 25/2026 |
The PLAY: Wofford +7.5 (-110)
East Tennessee State has already cliched the regular season title in the SoCon. So nothing for them to play for these last two games before the conference tournament. Therefore, even though tonight is their final home game, the Buccaneers are probably worth fading at this number.
It's not like ETSU has been by far and away the best team in the SoCon this season. Now they are more than 100 spots higher than Wofford, tonight's opponent, in the KenPom ratings. And did close -2.5 on the road, for the first meeting, back on February 1st. But ETSU got to enjoy a big FT edge in that first matchup, the likes of which probably will not be repeated this evening.
Wofford does have the SoCon's second highest offensive rating since conference play began and is #1 in three-point shooting at 38%. I just think, in a game that is likely to be played at a slow pace and not feature a ton of scoring, that the Terriers shot-making ability should keep them inside this number. Four straight ATS losses have them undervalued heading into tonight. This team can still finish in second in the league.
