| NBA | (535) Minnesota Timberwolves at (536) Detroit Pistons: Spread | 7:10pm EDT - Apr 2/2026 |
The PLAY: Minnesota Timberwolves +3.5 (-105)
Third game in four nights for a Pistons team that is still without their best player (Cade Cunningham) and has the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference basically all wrapped up. (Four game lead on Boston w/ only six more to play).
The T'wolves, on the other hand, have yet to officially clinch a playoff spot and are still fighting for home court advantage in the first round. Their best player (Anthony Edwards) returned on Monday to score 17 points in 23 minutes. The team won that game, rather easily, crushing Dallas 124-94 as 8.5-point road favorites.
Now I know that Detroit has managed to 6-2 SU and 7-1 ATS since it was announced that Cunningham would be out due to a collapsed lung. But Minnesota has the rest edge here and should be the more motivated side as well. The motivation extends beyond fighting for playoff position. The T'wolves will have revenge on their minds after losing to the Pistons at home on Saturday, 109-87 as five-point favorites. With Edwards back in the fold, I'm taking the points.
