The Timberwolves are on the second leg of a back-to-back. They’ve actually performed well in this spot this season and won’t have to travel, but covering spreads has been another story. Minnesota also just had a winning streak snapped against Orlando.
The Clippers come in playing solid basketball and are well rested after an upset win over New York. They’ve won five of their last six games and covered five of their last seven, showing they’ve been very competitive during this stretch.
The difference here could be the Clippers’ offensive production. While the Timberwolves have been strong defensively, Los Angeles should find ways to generate scoring opportunities. Both teams are expected to be fairly healthy, although Minnesota could rest a player or two, which would likely move the line.
