I have to go back to the well and fade the Flames in the Battle of Alberta on Wednesday night. Calgary comes into the contest having won just one of their last seven games (1-4-2). The angle to play the Flames in this spot would be that they can grind out a low-scoring win. However, during the above-mentioned seven-game sample size, Calgary is allowing 3.3 goals per game. They haven't been sharp on either end of the ice, scoring two goals of fewer in five of those seven contests.
Edmonton clearly has the higher ceiling offensively. They're still third in G/60 (3.39), second in high-danger SOG (220), and first on the power play (30.97%). Barring a stand-on-their-head performance from the Wolf-Cooley duo, the Oilers should manage to hit the three-goal mark, which I think will be enough to get them the two points. Let's lay the juice with Edmonton on Wednesday.
