| MLB | (959) San Francisco Giants at (960) Los Angeles Dodgers | 10:10pm EDT - May 12/2026 |
The PLAY: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (-130) Adrian Houser (RHP), Yoshinobu Yamamoto (LHP) Must Start
Now that the Dodgers have fallen out of first place in the NL West, they should awake from their slumber having lost eight of their last 12 games.
They have the perfect patsy to do it against - Giants pitcher Adrian Houser. He is 0-4 with a 6.19 ERA and 1.54 WHIP. Houser has only 19 strikeouts in 36 1/3 innings and has coughed up seven homers.
LA's struggling offense should start to pick up with the return of Mookie Betts. The Dodgers still rank in the top three in a number of key offensive categories, including batting average, homers and OPS.
The Dodgers also have their ace going today: Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He is 3-2 with a 3.09 ERA and 1.01 WHIP.
San Francisco has the worst offense in baseball. The Giants are last in runs, have the fewest stolen bases and are second to last in homers and OPS.
The Giants' past three losses have been by a total of 19 runs, an average loss of 6.3 runs.
(Editor's note: Stephen Nover is having a winning baseball season. Stephen has his AL Game of the Month today in addition to this free selection. Stephen also is putting his unbeaten premium/free WNBA sides record on the line today looking to go 4-0. Stephen is 30-16-1 on his May WNBA plays the past four seasons.)
