The PLAY: Belgium 115
Perhaps the reintroduction of Man City’s livewire Jérémy Doku back into the lineup, after missing the Iran match, had something to do with Belgium’s 5-goal eruption last Friday in Vancouver against New Zealand. Or it was Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard once again popping up with some big goals as did for the Gunners this past term. Or maybe it was Rudi Garcia properly using Romelu Lukaku off of the bench as a late-game spark.
Whatever, that looked more like the “good” Belgium vs. the Kiwis, especially with Kevin DeBruyne pulling the strings effectively once more from midfield. Though the biggest challenge for Senegal might be solving Belgium GK Thibaut Courtois, who gives the Red Devils an edge in the nets, especially if Senegal’s No. 1 Édouard Mendy remains out with his knee injury. Play Belgium on 3-Way (at Seattle)
