The PLAY: Austria -1.5 (-100)
Austria should be able to have its way with Jordan on Tuesday. Loaded with top level European talent, the Austrians cruised through UEFA qualifying, conceding only four goals in eight matches. Jordan is playing in its first ever World Cup. This was already going to be a very tough game. However, it became far more difficult with the loss of their top attacking threat, Yazan Al-Naimat. He was injured in December but there had still been hope that he might be ready for this tournament. He isn't. While Jordan does still have some quality offensive players, its defense is highly suspect. In a group which includes Algeria, Argentina and Austria, Jordan won't be advancing past the opening round and is very likely going 0-3. The PLAY: Portland Fire +14.5 (-106)
The Lynx played their biggest game of the season on the weekend. They left it all on the floor but lost a heartbreaker to the defending champs, at Las Vegas. Off that huge effort and disappointing defeat, they may not be fully focused on lowly Portland. The Fire (7-8) are off a nail biter of their own, eking out a 1-point win over Dallas. That victory snapped a 4-game skid and should provide some positive momentum. Don't be surprised when they give Minnesota a much tougher game than many will be expecting. *good at +13 or better
