The PLAY: Colombia To Win & Under 3.5 Goals
In my view, the most likely outcome of this final Round of 32 match in the World Cup (being played in Kansas City) is Colombia winning in normal time, albeit in low-scoring fashion. Therefore, going to the "Match Parlays" section at DK and selecting the option of Colombia to win and Under 3.5 goals makes a lot of sense. At -110, we're getting really good value here.
Of the 12 group winners, Colombia was the only one NOT favored to do so before the tournament began. But the South American side ended up topping Group K with 7 points as they defeated Uzbekistan 3-1 and Congo DR 1-0 before settling for a 0-0 draw with Portugal (who was the Group K favorite). I thought Colombia deserved the win against Portugal as they had a significant edge in both shots (24-13) and xG (1.7 to 0.93). They are deserved favorites here over a Ghana side that finished third in Group L.
Ghana won only once in the Group Stage, 1-0 over Panama, and that was on a goal scored late in stoppage time. After that, it was a 0-0 draw with England (pretty impressive) and a 2-1 loss to Croatia. Given they conceded just two goals in three matches, the Black Stars should have no problem keeping this one pretty low-scoring. But their problem is they created just 2.06 xG in the entire Group Stage (4th lowest) while taking the fewest number of shots (15) of any team. Given those numbers, it's going to be incredibly hard for them to score here against a Colombian side that has conceded only one goal in the tournament.
