| NHL | (53) Montreal Canadiens at (54) Carolina Hurricanes: Spread | 8:00pm EDT - May 21/2026 |
The PLAY: Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 (130)
Canes PL -1.5 Over Canadiens
We get Game 1 here between Montreal and Carolina in Raleigh. The Hurricanes have had a ton of time off, not having played since May 9th. One would think maybe they show signs of rust, and maybe they do, but the Canes have the #1 defense in the playoffs, only allowing 1.25 gpg vs. the Senators and the Flyers, and we think they give the Canadiens fits here on their offensive end. The Habs offense was electric vs. the Sabres, but this Hurricanes team is a different animal on the defensive end, and we like Carolina to play well, slow the Canadiens' offensive pace, and get some goals in as well, and we will roll with the Hurricanes on the puck line.

| NBA | (549) Cleveland Cavaliers at (550) New York Knicks: Total | 8:00pm EDT - May 21/2026 |
The PLAY: Total Under 216.5 (-112)
Cavs/Knicks Under
Cleveland completely imploded in Game 1; now they have to try to pick up the pieces and get Game 2 and split the series, or it's probably over for them. The biggest problem for them is the fatigue factor. You could see it in the 4th quarter and OT; the Cavs completely lost their legs after playing two 7-game series in a row. Now they have to come back 48 hours later and do it again. Remember, Game 1 would have easily gone under if it had not gone to OT, and we think we see a similar result here, and points will likely be hard to come by. Thus, the total is set one point lower than Game 1, which closed at 217.5, so oddsmakers expect this one maybe to be a slow-paced game as well. We think the Knicks had some defensive rust in Game 1 after having been off for a week, and we think they play solid defense here, and we will roll with the under.
